FAQs
Q: Do the NJ State Police allow you to print your card on plastic?
A: YES! The state police now only issue digital IDs since 2021; you are required to produce your ID card and as long as the image or information on the card has not been changed, you are fine.
Q: How do I submit my files to be printed?
A: Send them to info@nypatriotcards.com or reply to the confirmation email with attachments or upload them with the Contact Form.
Q: I never got a confirmation email
A: Everyone is sent a confirmation email upon checkout with instructions on how to send us your files. If it is not in your inbox, check your spam or junk mail folders. If we don’t get your files in a few hours, we will try to reach out by email or text message. If we don’t get any reply within a week, will issue a refund.
Q: Can I just give you my information and you can make me a card?
A: No. Legally, we can not edit, add or remove any of the information on any type of card. If you have any changes to make you will have to go through the issuing agency. The only thing we can legally do is print the exact image of the card you were originally issued.
Q: I don’t have my digital files, can I send you a scanned copy of my card(s).
A: Yes!
Q: What do you do with my info and how is it stored and protected.
A: Absolutely no files or card information will ever be stored once printing is complete.
Q: Is my information sold to any 3rd parties?
A: NEVER. At no time will your information be collected and distributed to anyone, ever.
Q: Can you fix my picture?
A: No, we can not change anything on any cards. To keep everything legal, and to keep your card valid, they must be printed by me exactly the way they were issued to you by the issuing agency.
Q: My card is pretty beat up, can you fix it and print it?
A: Short answer, yes. If there are marks on the lamination or paper that wasn’t there when it was issued, we can try to remove it. But if there is a printing smudge or something like that, there is nothing that can be done. We won’t be able to re-type anything if it’s faded or smudged. Again this is to keep your card valid and to keep on the right side of the law.
Q: My card is beat up, can you look at it before I order to let me know how it will print?
A: Yes, of course! Feel free to send us an email and we’ll tell you if it’s worth it or not.
Q: I don’t have a scanner, can I just send you a picture?
A: Pictures really don’t print well. Reflections and skewing makes it print weird. It is recommended to use a free app called ‘Genuis Scan’. It will do it’s best to straighten any distortion or skewing – keep your phone as level while scanning.
